View before you pay

Never pay a deposit, booking fee or rent before you have viewed the condo in person and met the owner or agent.

Check who you are dealing with

Ask to see the owner's ID or the agent's business card, and the property title or a letter from the management office.

Get it in writing

Agree the rent, deposit, lease length, electricity rate (EDC or building) and what is included before you sign.

Too good to be true?

A price far below similar condos in the same sangkat, pressure to decide immediately, or requests for payment by gift card or crypto are warning signs.
